Cotswold Farm Park

Guiting Power, North Cotswolds

Adam Henson at the Cotswold Farm ParkBBC Countryfile star Adam Henson is your host at the Cotswold Farm Park, an entertaining and informative hill-top farm deep in the high wold.

It’s a not a cash-in attraction though. Joe Henson began the Farm Park back in 1971. He was a forward-thinking man, with a keen interest in rare breeds. The Farm Fark today is a little slicker, but it remains a real farm, with over 50 flocks and herds of varous animals.  And yes, Adam does farm here and is frequently to be seen at work. He’s a nice chap who commands a lot of respect locally.

Many local families buy a season ticket because the place is so child-friendly. It’s worth pointing out that this is much more than just a childrens’ attraction. Few adults can resist the chance to hold a rabbit or a chick in the Discovery Barn.

There are a series of events that mirror the farming year. Pride of place goes to lambing, always a thrilling experience. The farm is well organised to allow you to get as close as possible and you’ll find yourself leaving knowing more about food and farming.

Top tip - if you want to experience an easily managed shorter Cotswold walk you can walk a signposted route as part of your visit. Shop and Cafe are a cut above.
