BBC Countryfile Live
Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire
Countryfile presenters bring the highly popular TV show to life in the grand setting of Blenheim Palace. 'We like to think it’s the best Country Fair in the World', says John Craven.
Us Cotswold folk were very proud when Adam Henson came to prominence on BBC’s Countryfile show. His father Joe, who created the Cotswolds Farm Park, was enormously respected locally and so is Adam, his son. The show has spawned a magazine and, more recently Countryfile Live, a hugely successful celebration of all things farming, at Blenheim Palace.
These days it’s a pretty full day out. In addition to the presenters who appear in various theatres through the weekend, there’s a central area for demonstrations. You can see everything from dog and goose herding to falconry displays. You’ll have the opportunity to see live chainsaw competitions, try a GTech bike, drive offroad or go canoeing. There’s live music from the BBC 'Introducing' stage, kitchen and cookery demos and plenty of cooking demos. And an awful lot of shops to enjoy, from charcuterie to country clothing.
Popular, lively and buzzy, Countryfile Live is now a well-loved part of the Cotswolds year.
