Foxhill Manor

Foxhill is a private manor-house hotel in the Cotswolds, with just eight unique bedrooms and suites. But that doesn't quite do it justice. It's a new type of stay: all the character and charm of a boutique-hotel hideaway, served up with heartfelt personal service and an easygoing at-home atmosphere. Trust us, you'll love it.

Broadway tips from the hotel

Many guests can't bear to leave the Farncombe Estate. Archery, tennis, shooting and a Segway Safari are amongst other activities available on site. Enjoy exploring 400-acres of private Cotswold Estate, borrow a pair of wellies and take a wander along the nature trail in search of deer, badgers and foxes.

Guests also have free access to the Spa at the nearby sister hotel, Dormy House.

We can arrange a mountain bike (or a classic car if you prefer) to help you explore – our reception team have plenty of great ideas. And we do a nifty hamper for lunch! Foxhill Manor is something of a design masterclass. It was built in 1909 and designed by Joseph Lancaster Ball, one of the leading lights of the Arts & Crafts movement.

Ball designed the Manor to have a central East-West facing body (which has given it the fantastic sunset terrace it enjoys today), and four wings which ensure that, whatever time of day it is, part of the house is always bathed in light.

Walk: To Broadway Tower

4 miles (6.4km) | 1.5 hours
The walk to the hotel's nearby, rather spectacular neighbour at Broadway Tower is rewarded by blustery views over Broadway village. If you can't face the return journey, the chaps at Foxhill will pick you up at the other end.
For the route ask at reception.
